Most of you wanted it. And I agree with you.
As I wrote to our ESC referee MS Susan Del Gaiso the last January the blog is a useful inexpensive tool to communicate and to create a productive scientific community.
Our president, professor G. Germanò, proposed it in March at Sophia Antipolis during the ESC spring meeting. Thanks to their numerous supporters! First of them I thank dr. Ivan Kohl from Czech Republic.
But if we want that the blog became what we wish I think that all of us have to read and to comment it frequently pointing out the most of our national experiences. This is why we have to link it to our different national cardiological community.
Nine countries take part of the Council, but we aspire to involve all the other European countries and much more.
Every one month we will introduce a new poll (you can give no more than three answers) and a subject to discuss. Afterwards we will comment the results.
This month the poll is very general and is just to evaluate our fields of interests.
The blog will give ospitality also to case report, suggestion for case registres, surveys, quality indicators of cardiovascular guidelines implementation.
The result will be reviewed and summarized on the news of the site of the Council.

There will be an international editorial board (formed by the Nucleus members) and a local editorial board that will work with me.
Use, enjoy and spread it to our collegues.
To reduce the burden of cardiovascular disease in the world and to increase our knowledge!
